Wageningen is a cute and small town that offers a wide array of opportunities to anyone with an interest in food and farming systems. There are several huge projects that you can get into if you wish to do a thesis or internship and one could take courses at the WUR until the end of time. The academic quality of this institution is high and courses are well organized. Wageningen is not for the city lovers as it is a small town. Instead it offers the possibility to go swimming in the river and explore the forests of the Veluwe. The Dutch nature is by far not as epic or wild as the Norwegian fjords and mountains, but instead is flat, green and welcoming. The Erasmus grant has been quite beneficial but is not the main reason I went to this institution. I would recommend Wageningen to my fellow NMBU students if you look for a great university.
