Are you satisfied with your exchange, and would you recommend others to do the same?
I am more than satisfied with
my exchange at Wageningen University. I would definitely recommend this
university to anyone for the high quality of its education and the richness of
the social life present in this student-town.
Was it difficult
to get the courses you wanted at the host university?
It was only difficult regarding the huge diversity of
the courses offered, which looked all very interesting, so I just wanted to
take them all aha. The Handbook on WUR website helped me a lot to decide myself
so it resulted to be quite easy in the end.
Did you get all of
the courses approved when back at NMBU?
Yes, the approbation of my
courses was a very easy-going process with NMBU. My learning agreement had been
approved before going on exchange and although I had to make a few changes on
my learning agreement afterwards, NMBU approved it right away.
Are you satisfied
with the academic quality at the host university?
It is undeniable that the
quality of the teachings at Wur is excellent which makes the university on the
top of the rankings. The teachers I had were all very passionate about their
subject and super interesting, even behind a screen due to Corona time.
How beneficial was
the Erasmus grant?
The Erasmus grant I received
from NMBU was higher than the one I got the first semester to study in Norway,
so I can say that the grant was of a great support. Also, the life is cheaper
than in Norway so all in all the budget management is easier.
Did you obtain
what you wanted by going on exchange?
Due to the Corona situation I
could only stay in Wageningen for a little bit more than a month. But this
month was one of the richest in my life, plenty of new discoveries, enriching
friendship and a lot of fun. To a big extent, this great social experience was
boosted by the AID introduction week, which I would recommend anyone to take
part in !
All in all, I have been
stimulated by high-quality courses by the “open-minded and sustainable” people
of Wageningen.
